A Letter from the Board of Directors

As we enter a new season of our ministry, we wanted to reach out to all of you with some updates and words of encouragement. But first, we simply cannot express in words our gratitude and love for Kimberly Fross as she enters a new chapter of life.  Kim was called by the Lord and has been a faithful and loving servant to our clients, families, donors, and the ministry.  We were blessed by her many years of devoted service and are very grateful. We also want to thank Stephen McVay for his leadership and service as he steps away from his role on the board. We now welcome Luke Busenitz, Susan Moore, Drew Wilson and Brian Hatvick as new board members, with existing board members, Tyler Norris, Dena Funk and Bert Anderson.

Each of our current sites continue to provide direct client services, including sonograms, mentoring, and a client Bible study, with directors reporting to the board for an interim period.  Paula Hansen serves as the director in Augusta and is also serving as the Interim El Dorado Director, and Christy Stewart serves as the director of Great Beginnings in El Dorado.  We are grateful they have elected to take on additional responsibilities during this transition!

Since 2018 when Loren and Kathy Jack acquired and generously gave the building at 107 N. Main to Branches, we have had a vision for what could be the future of Branches at that location. Our dedicated team worked very hard to raise the necessary funds. But, despite our best efforts, we’ve fallen well short of raising the total amount needed for the extensive renovation. So as to not place any more undue stress or distraction on our staff with a continuing capital campaign, the Board has decided to list the building for sale, which is currently under contract. We will be contacting building donors soon about the remaining designated building funds that were previously raised for the renovation.

We are now focusing on recruiting additional board members, and have begun a search for our next Executive Director. We also know this ministry is simply not possible without the dedicated support of our volunteers and donors. We are open to your ideas about how the Lord is leading Branches into this new season. Please feel free to reach out with any suggestions or questions you may have, at board@pregnancyandfamily.org.

In closing, please be prayerful about 2024 and our leadership transitions.  The board will have many decisions to make, and during this time, we know that the Lord will provide and we will need your continued and unwavering support. Please keep an eye out for future updates.

May God Bless You and Your Family,

The Branches Board of Directors
